Get excited for First Year Retreat, coming up soon! After those first couple hectic weeks of college you might be ready to get away for a bit. This is a great opportunity to relax and meet a bunch of other first years (and some pretty awesome upperclassmen!). The retreat is September 4-6 at Grace Bible Camp in Goshen, VA. We’ll pick you up from your dorm at 4pm on Friday and arrive back on Grounds in the early afternoon on Sunday. Got a long Friday afternoon lab? No worries, there will be late cars! It’s going to be a great weekend. We’re going to have a ton of fun and go deep with Jesus…and contrary to popular belief, those are NOT mutually exclusive! The retreat is completely free so invite your friends. More friends, more fun. Basically the exact opposite of more money, more problems, so invite a bunch!

More about retreats:

Retreats are an opportunity for an individual to spend time in contemplation and prayer so that they can rekindle and deepen their relationship with God.  In addition, a spiritual retreat creates an atmosphere that allows students to leave behind the stresses and distractions of college, and embark on a series of both spiritual and social activities which bring the individual closer to fellow students and themselves, and ultimately, to God.

CSM offers a number of retreat experiences for students over the course of the academic year, including: First Year Retreat, held during the first few weeks of classes, Fall and Spring retreats, held midway through each semester,  other themed retreats, and the Diocesan Encounter With Christ retreats.
